Investment description
Mothercare Australia (MLC:ASX) is a listed retailer specialising in the baby goods, parenting and children’s market. Mothercare Australia operates over 45 retail stores across Australia under the Mothercare, Kids Central, and Early Learning Centre brands.
In September 2010, Allegro merged its original Fund I investment, Babies Galore into the Mothercare Australia group. Coinciding with this merger, Fund I made a strategic minority investment in Mothercare Australia to fund further expansion of the retail chain.
