The Group provides express parcel, freight delivery and domestic forwarding services in Australia, and transport and contract logistics services in New Zealand. Global Express serves over 36,000 customers and employs more than 8,000 people.

In September 2021, Allegro acquired the business from Japan Post and have secured the services of Christine Holgate as Group CEO to lead the transformation of the business. Allegro Co-Founder, Adrian Loader (Chair) and Investment Director, Jeremy Trouncer serve as Directors on the Group’s board.

Team Global Express was the sixth investment in Allegro Fund III.
